Early Voting
STARTS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th, 2024
Learn how to vote early in-person, or by mail.
You don’t need to wait until election day to cast your ballot! No-excuse absentee voting means that you can also choose to vote in-person at your city hall, or have your ballot mailed to your home. This can help you avoid long lines, or needing to take some time off of work on election day.
Vote by Mail
If you are interested in having a mail-in ballot sent to your home, you can fill out the form to request a ballot here: https://mnvotes.sos.state.mn.us/ABRegistration/ABRegistrationStep1.aspx
Follow the directions carefully and mail the ballot and forms back ASAP. To count, your ballot must be postmarked by Election Day.
Please consider mailing from the post office or a blue postal service box to ensure your ballot is mailed securely.
You can track your absentee ballot using the Secretary of State’s online tool to confirm that it was received and counted. The Secretary of State advises giving several business days for the status of your ballot to update online.
